The Casual Rebound

The New Year has brought a lot of relationships to an end and started a few others. With Valentine’s Day fast approaching the rate in singletons looking for a date this February 14th has tripled. This is understandable as Valentine’s Day has a habit of making anyone who’s not with someone miserable. But if you are single this Valentine’s Day, it means you can have some casual fun without any of the expensive tropes couples are pressured to employ. And if you’re fresh out of a relationship it also means you can let your hair down and start enjoying some time with people without any pressure.

Just be aware of some of the rules…more recommendations really…and you’ll be fine.

1. It’s okay to feel conflicted about sex with someone new
You’ve just come out of a relationship, so you’re going to be feeling a bit raw emotionally. However the best thing you can do is to give your body and brain a chance to go wild for a bit whilst you try and sort everything out. Don’t feel this is bad because it isn’t. It’s normal.

2. Go wild
When we say this, we don’t mean ‘throw caution to the wind’. Be safe, but be open to meeting new people and trying different things. You never know, you might end up trying new things you never thought you would.

3. Don’t feel guilty
It’s easy to feel perversely guilty after a break up but the best way to eliminate that is to move and enjoy spending time with a new partner or partners.

4. Try something new
Always wanted to try a new position or something kinky but felt like you couldn’t with an old partner? Now’s the time to break out the ropes, ramp up your kink and enjoy all the rich flavours sex has to offer beyond vanilla.

5. Don’t worry if you don’t feel a deep connection
This isn’t a new boyfriend or girlfriend. This is someone fun for you to have some fun with. It’s normal not to feel a deep investment toward them. In fact it’s encouraged. Don’t start second guessing how you feel or should be feeling. It’s unhealthy and is detrimental to you having some fun.
