Age affects people in different ways. When it comes to sex, age can affect the things you want in (and out) of the bedroom.
The Difference between Men and Women
Both men and women like sex. A lot. However there are differences in terms of how age affects the sex drive. With men there can be a gradually declining interest in sex the older they get. Notice we said ‘can be’. This is not an absolute and despite multiple studies conducted by Doctors the world over, there is still no conclusive evidence to suggest that a man’s sex drive disappears gradually the older he gets.
With women the current view is their libido increases with age. Whilst there is generally more conclusive evidence to suggest that is true, again it is not an absolute. For both sexes 2 factors are key to affecting sex drive:
- Physical Health
- Mental Health
Irrespective of age if you are stressed and/or in poor physical health then your libido will be adversely affected and your sex drive will drop significantly. Fortunately there are many ways you can avoid this happening and that includes exercise, healthy diet and….an active sex life.
The only differences lie in what men and women want to do at different ages and the results are interesting.
The Younger Woman (20s – early 30s)
In women fertility levels and hormone production are at their highest when they are in their 20s and 30s. Women at this age are also more self conscious of their bodies including any small or large physical flaws. As a result they want sex a lot but they are more aware of their personal appearance and sometimes are not as willing to experiment and push the boundaries with a fuck buddy.
The Younger Man (20s – 30s)
A bit like a dog with a bone really, men in their 20s and 30s can’t get enough sex but are not as comfortable in their own skin as men in their 40s and 50s. That is not a bad thing. It is merely a matter of having less experience. As a result they pride physical appearance over sexual experimentation 80 – 90% of the time.
The Cougar Call (Women in their 40s – 50s)
As women age their fertility levels decrease. Again this is not a bad thing; just a natural occurrence that comes with age. The upshot to this is that women in their 40s and up are more likely to be less worried about their physical flaws and more relaxed about themselves and their desires. These types of women often play out more extreme sexual fantasies and want to push the boundaries as much as possible.
The Greying Stud (Men in their 40s – 50s)
The older a man gets, the more experienced he gets and the more he realises that women care less about physical perfection then they do about his sexual imagination and comfort in his own skin. Sex drive for a guy may not be as high as it was in his 20s and 30s, but sex is usually a lot more enjoyable and lasts a lot longer at 53 then at 23. Rod Stewart is elegant proof of this and admitted in a frank interview with a US journalist that he sleeps with his 42 year old wife Penny Lancaster at least 3 times a week to keep them both satisfied. The way he does it is to whisk her away to exotic locations, seducing her with fantasies and wine. If you’re a 40-50 year old + stud reading this, you don’t have to worry if you can’t afford to whisk your fuck buddy away to Hawaii; you just have to use your imagination a bit more. You probably already do.
Age Irrelevant?
It’s true that no matter your age, you can enjoy a healthy sex life with a regular or new fuck buddy. But if you’re a 20 something reading this, have a think about experimenting more with your buddy. You might be orgasmically surprised by the results.
