What makes a woman sexy?

Just looking at the many issues of Cosmo, Marie Clare and dozens of other women’s lifestyle mags is enough to give me a headache. Snarky sections of the media might have a go at us for ‘peddling casual sex’ but you only have to look at any of the above mags to know that all they do is talk about sex. It permeates every page. The top question that editors keep asking in many of the feature articles is what makes a woman sexy? It’s a fair question, but one that doesn’t have a straight answer. Men find different things sexy in a woman so we’ve tried to collate the top answers.

1. She’s Playful
This comes out time and time again in various men’s polls. At the end of the day a woman who is playful without being annoying can be the sexiest thing ever. Women who take themselves too seriously won’t really get much of a look in with most guys.

2. She’s beautiful
The definition of beauty is all over the place. Someone’s princess is another person’s frog. A woman who is beautiful usually dresses to flatter her figure (it doesn’t matter if it’s a dress or a pair of jeans), puts a bit of effort into her grooming (this doesn’t mean caking yourself in makeup) and someone who cares how men perceive her, even if she thinks the result isn’t very flattering. A beautiful woman is not someone who pouts and wears the shortest skirt possible.

3. Grown up about sex
Whether we want to do it sooner or later, we want a woman who is able to have a mature conversation about sex and not laugh at our ideas on desires and needs.

4. Likes and understands men
Is this really a surprise? Don’t women want a man who likes and understands them too? Well we want a woman who does the same.

5. Affectionate
Many women seem to think that being sexy is all about looking good. WRONG! We want you to be touching us, smiling at us, being silly around us; basically doing all the things you say you want us to do with you.

6. Knows how to say ‘Thank you’
Whether we’ve bought you dinner or just given you a mind blowing orgasm, it’s nice to receive some gratitude. You’d want the same from us.
